Greta Pllana

Born in Durrës, 1992. Lives and works in Milan, Italy.

Greta Pllana approaches different art forms like painting and drawing, as means for researching lost memories, origins, and affections. Painting for Greta is a relevant instrument for gaining insight and awareness of what her home country once was. Anonymous memories of everyday life often intertwine with traditions and symbols that capture her attention, for recreating universal instants of collective memory and beyond. Landscapes and nature within her work are binding elements that highlight the relationship between territories and individuals, reflecting the ambiguity and disorientation human beings confront every day.
